Taurus IT's founder, Richard Burnley, has a strong background in IT development and support. From an early age Richard was passionate about computers, 'tinkering' and learning about them both at home and at school. Following the completion of an honours degree in Software Engineering at the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne, it was clear where his future lay! From university, a position in the IT Systems department of Bettys and Taylors of Harrogate helped expand Richard's knowledge of computer systems in a fast-paced business and manufacturing environment.

From there, a move to York and the Yorkshire Tourist Board presented fresh challenges and opportunities to learn new skills and technologies. Finally, he was able to realise a longstanding ambition - to offer a friendly, helpful consultancy service to those that needed it under his own brand name - Taurus IT.

Through working in many different and diverse sectors (including manufacturing, retail, engineering design, marketing, training and research) we have developed a broad spectrum of skills and experience which we feel compliment our thorough, logical yet creative approach.

Above all, we have a genuine interest and passion for our work, which we believe shows through in the quality of service we provide and our attention to detail.
