The Northern Branch of the Institute of Horticulture is far flung, covering from Cumbria in the west to Northumberland in the east. It includes Cleveland, Co. Durham, North, South, East and West Yorkshire, and the cities of Carlisle, Leeds, Newcastle, Sunderland, Teeside, York and Sheffield to name but a few.
This active branch forms a business plaform
for IOH affairs at a local level. It's extensive programme
of events caters for a wide range of membership,
and gives encouragement and help, creating lines of communication
to its members at a business, educational and social level.
The Branch gives a warm welcome to all those in Horticulture
and related Arts who wish to make advancement and develop
their careers. It gives encouragement to those who require
assistance in taking that next step in their careers, advancement
in their membership grade and those who wish to use their
talents in helping others. Networking with other IOH members
, members of other organisations and interfacing with the
plethora of Horticultural disciplines is a value which
cannot be underestimated.
