Currently, the IoH offers membership
at the following levels, grade requirements are given
below each category:
Student:
Those attending full and part time courses
in Horticulture or related subject, or who have taken up
a post in horticulture to make their living. This could
be of the most practical nature.
Associate (A.I.Hort):
BTec National Diploma in Horticulture.
RHS Diploma in Horticulture. City and Guilds Phases III
and IV. Advanced National Certificate in Horticulture.
A demonstration from professional horticulturists who have
none of the above but can demonstrate considerable knowledge
and skill.
Corporate (M.I.Hort):
A prescribed period of post-qualification
experience having achieved qualifications ie Degree, Master
of Horticulture. Higher NDH Botanic Gardens Diploma. A
demonstration of a high level of professionalism and experience
but without having achieved any of the above.
Fellow (F.I.Hort):
A high standard of distinction by acomplishment
or academically in the practice of Horticulture or in a
branch of Science or Arts having a bearing on Horticulture
and having been a member of the Institute for such a period
determined by Council.
The grade you receive upon joining will
be based upon your age, experience and professional qualifications. |
